God looked down from Heaven:
God beheld from His dwelling:
Look! A college.
Behold! A campus.
In all its dorms, students are tired from their studies.
In all its buildings, students are wearied from their work.
And they have not yet made it to the mountaintop.
And they have not yet reached the tunnel's end.
No, they must complete their finals before going home.
No, they must finish their last tests before returning to their rests.
So, they climb the mountain's final steps.
So, they journey through the cave's last hallway.
When they finish, they fall down, drained.
When they win, they collapse, exhausted.
God observes all this work.
God takes note of all this toil.
Then, in His kindness, He says: "Let them have weeks of rest!"
Then, in His mercy, He decrees for them weeks of refreshment.
And, it is so!
And, it is done!
As when He said "Let there be light!" and there was light.
As when He commanded light to come forth, and then light existed.
