A Prayer for a Tender Heart

O Lord Jesus Christ:

Your Name is Jesus, because You save Your people from Your sins. [1] By Divine grace, You save Your people through trust in You, to make them Your Father’s workmanship, to walk in good works (Ephesians 2:8-10).

Hardness of heart, the insensitivity of the heart to Your Word, is a sin (Hebrews 3:12). So, o Savior, I implore You to save me from hardness of heart! Make my heart tender! Make my heart sensitive to Your Word! [2] May it embrace what You command and be repulsed at what You command against! Make my heart as Yours’, o Jesus! [3]
