O God of the Bible:

O my Trust:

You say that You are pleased with all who believe that You are (as You reveal Yourself to be in Your Word) and that You are the Rewarder of those who diligently seek You (Hebrews 11:6).

So, I seek You for help!

I cry out to You for rescue!

For You are the only Salvation of man!

You are the only Deliverance of the world!

O God, I find myself in despondency!

I'm in a deep pit!

I know You are all You reveal Yourself to be in Your Word!

I believe that You are FULLY trustworthy, unmixed with even the slightest falsehood!

But I can't stop feeling low!

My heart can't stop feeling sad!

O God, this is my fear: I'm worried that I do not believe in You truly!

O Lord, this is my anxiety: I fear that my faith is vain!

Then, I realize that no one seeks You apart from You seeking them!

Then, I understand that no one desires You apart from You choosing them!

So, if I seek You, that means You sought me first!

So, if I desire You, that means You chose me first!

So, You have not abandoned me!

So, You have not left me to wrath!

Not that my love should be my trust!

Not that my desire should be my confidence!

Rather, Christ shall be my sole trust!

Rather, Your Son shall be my sole Confidence!

And, while I am to believe, You sustain my faith!

And, while I am to trust, You buttress my trust!

O God, turn me away from sin and this wicked world!

O Lord, turn me away from evil and this system of sin!

O God, put my faith in Your Son only!

O Lord, put my trust in Your Christ only!

Bring me all the way to Your Kingdom, never to be parted from You!

Take me all the way to Your City, never to be severed from You!

God is always with us - even when we don’t feel He is near. We just need to be faithful as He is. Blessings to you and yours!
