Second, let's consider the characteristics of God that Psalm 3 attributes to Him! One, God is the One whose help man needs in hardship (verses 1-2). Two, God is, to those who entrust themselves to Him, their Shield, Glory, and the Lifter up of their heads (verse 3). Three, God is the One who hears, out of His holy hill, those who cry unto Him with their voices (verse 4). Four, God is the One who grants sleep to those He sustains (verse 5). Five, God is the God, Savior, and Avenger of those who cry out to Him for salvation (verses 6-7). Six, God is the One to whom salvation belongs, as well as the Blesser of His people (verse 8).
