A "vote of no confidence" (which I will refer to as a "VNC") is "a formal vote by which the members of a legislature or similar deliberative body indicate that they no longer support a leader, government, etc." Stated in almost the same way but simpler, a VNC is a vote by a governing body indicating that it no longer supports a leader, government, etc.

If we consider the human heart as the governor over a person and his/her life, it is easy to see how a VNC is a picture of repentance. Repentance can be defined as a change of mind by which a person switches his trust to God from someone or something else, which change of mind evidences itself in changed action (Matthew 21:28-32; cf. Matthew 3:8 and Acts 26:20). So, saving repentance is the sinner's heart doing a VNC concerning whatever the object of his ultimate trust happens to be and, consequently, placing his ultimate trust permanently on the God of the Bible, including the Lord Jesus Christ, as the Holy Spirit reveals Him in the 66 Books of the Old and New Testaments that comprise the Bible.

What about you, reader? Have you done a VNC in regard to all other things and placed your trust in the Lord Jesus Christ, and Him ONLY? If you do, you will NOT be put to shame (Romans 10:11), because you will have put your confidence in the only One who will not (indeed, cannot-Titus 1:1-2, Hebrews 6:18) lie! If you have not, do so RIGHT NOW, without a second's delay! Because you have no idea when either you will die or the Lord will return (whichever comes first), and the only other option is eternal punishment for each and every one of the sins you have committed against your eternal Creator and Lord (Matthew 25:46)!
