A false teacher is one who teaches people to live contrary to God's Word.
Therefore, there are at least two different kinds of false teachers. The first kind of false teacher is the teacher who teaches honestly in the name of a god different from the God of the Bible, and therefore from a different doctrinal source than the Bible. The second kind of false teacher is the teacher who teaches in the name of the God of the Bible, but his teaching contradicts what God Word's actually says, especially in cases where the teacher takes a truth or multiple truths from Scripture and isolates them from the context of the Bible as a unified whole.
How can one resist being deceived by false teachers? Trust God's Word! Trust the Bible* as A WHOLE, not just parts of it!
