O God the Father:
O Giver of all the good gifts I've received (James 1:17):
You gave me eternal life through Your Son. I have this eternal life through faith in Your Son, and You've given me this faith by Your Spirit.
You gave me my family in Christ, all those in history (past, present, and future) who trust Him only and love Him supremely.
You gave me the realization that only You can satisfy my soul.
You gave me the desire and ability to write as a Christian, glorifying You and meeting the needs of man.
You gave me all my ideas to serve You.
You gave me my father and mother, by whom You brought me into the world.
You gave me all the food and drinks I enjoy and through which You strengthen my body.
You gave me all the love from mankind by which I've ever been loved.
You gave me all my health.
You've healed me from all the diseases I've been healed from.
You're working all things for my good.
Along with Your Son, You've freely given me all things.
You've brought me many times out of the pit of hopelessness.
You promised me that You'll withhold no good things from those who walk uprightly, and You empower me to turn from my sins and live according to Your Word.
You've given me a godly optimism, an optimism that knows You will fulfill all Your promises in Your Word.
O my Father, if I were to write all the good works You've wrought for me, the world couldn't produce enough paper to write it! Nor could all the world's computers together have enough room to type them all out! Yet, I praise You for these good gifts You've given me!
