God does all kinds of works. One kind of Divine work is provision. God provides for the needs of His creatures (Matthew 5:45). One of the needs of man, whom God created in His image (Genesis 1:26-27), is laundry, the washing and drying of clothes for reuse. Whatever means are used to do laundry, God is the One working. All three Persons of the Trinity work in laundry-work. Just as the washer and the dryer are mere tools in the hands of the men and women operating them, so the human operators of these machines are mere tools of God to carry out laundry-work.
However, laundry-work is not only a work of God. It's a work of man, God's image-bearers. Granted, as said above, God is the Ultimate Worker, but man still works here. Christians, those who turn from all else to follow Christ, are commanded to work heartily as to the Lord, and not to men (Colossians 3:23). So, Christian, has God placed you in laundry-work? Then, by faith in Christ, apply this Divine command in Colossians 3:23 to your work! Do it so Christ will be glorified in you, Christ being seen in you as you work like He Himself would work! Do you realize you're doing a good work? You're providing for other people's clothing needs by preparing their clothes for reuse. You're being used of God in His provision.
May God use this article for the encouragement of Christian laundry-workers!

Laundry has never been one of my favorite things to do, but I can look at it from a different perspective now, offering my service for God‘s glory! Thanks for the article ❤️
Thank you for reminding Christians that everything they do should be done to the glory of God. This post reminded me of this truth and has been an encouragement to me today.
