How do I receive Jesus Christ as my Lord? Put another way, how do I enter into a relationship with Christ where He is my Master and I am His slave?
John 1:11-13 says: "He [Jesus] came unto his own, and his own received him not. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God" (KJV). This passage of God's Word clarifies that receiving Christ means believing in Him. Believing in Christ is receiving Him for all that He is, the Bible* being the sole way we can know who He is. And one of Christ's characteristics is "Lord" (Acts 16:30-31). So, believing in the Lord Jesus Christ includes believing in Him as one's Lord, and this belief is the means through which one receives Christ.
Have you received the Lord Jesus Christ as your Lord, as well as your Savior? If not, believe on Him immediately and be reconciled to God right now and forever (again, Acts 16:30-31)!
*By the Bible, I, of course, mean nothing more and nothing less than the 66 Books of the Old and New Testaments.
