According to the Cambridge Dictionary website, an ideology is "a set of beliefs or principles, especially one on which a political system, party, or organization is based" [1].
If we slightly modify this definition to make it simply say "a set of beliefs and principles", and if we realize that the Lord Jesus Christ, as the Holy Spirit reveals Him via the Bible, is both the Source and Embodiment of all the beliefs and principles that a Christian adheres to (that is, as the Bible defines the true Christian), then we may say, slightly metaphorically, that Jesus Christ is the Christian's ideology.
Seeing the relationship between Christ and the Christian in this light reveals the nature of the division between Christians and Christ-rejectors. While Christians get their beliefs and values from Jesus, worldly people get their beliefs and principles from created things instead of the Creator.
