O God the Son:
O Lord Jesus Christ:
Your Name is Jesus, because You save Your people from their sins (Matthew 1:21). You save those who trust You alone from all forms of disobedience against You.
You command Your people to always rejoice in You (Philippians 4:4). Therefore, to not always rejoice in You is a sin (1 John 3:4). And what is boredom but disobedience to this command? For what is boredom but a lack of joy in You? In effect, boredom is the heart telling You "You're not enough to fill me with joy." What sin! What wickedness! What evil! Yet, I must confess that I have felt this vile feeling in my heart at times.
O Savior, save me from this sin! Take out my dull heart and put a lively one in its place! Make my spirit find its joy in You and You only! I cry out to You for this request, by trust in You! And, by that faith in You, I'll obey Your command to always rejoice in You! Do this, o Savior from all sin, for Your glory, because You are my Trust!

What a wonderful reminder and so beautifully written. Thank you for sharing and reminding us.
