Christ, Lord of Snow and Ice

O God the Son:

O Lord Jesus Christ:

You create snow and rule it. You form it and cause it to fall on the ground. You cause it to stick to the ground, so that it does not melt. You cover the ground with snow as a blanket, like You cover men with blankets in their sleep. You provide enough snow for snowballs, snowmen, snow forts, and other snow structures. Finally, You command the snow to melt, and it does as You say.

You create ice and rule it. You decrease the temperature to such a degree where You transform water into ice. You hang icicles. You cool water for drinks. You cool food so it's suitable to eat. Finally, You command the ice to melt, and it returns to water according to Your Word.

O Christ, all credit for snow and for ice belongs to You, Your Father, and Your Spirit!
