A Prayer for the New Year

O God my Father:

By trust in Your Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, I ask You this thing:

If You decide not to send Your Son before this year's end, then You will bring in a new year. O God, make me bear much fruit for You each day, both all the days of this year and all my days next year! Do it so You'll be glorified (John 15:8)! I entrust all my plans to do good (as You define "good") to You! Make me bear enough fruit throughout my life so that I'll do all You command me in Your Word exactly as You desire it!
