May God's Will Be My Food! (A Prayer)

O God my Father:

By faith in Your Son, I call on You:

By Your Spirit, work this in me:

Your Son's food was to do Your will (John 4:34). Your purpose is to conform me to Your Son's image (Romans 8:29).

Therefore, I call on You to make Your will my food, just like it was with Christ! May Your Word satisfy me more than my favorite food! May Your Law be more sumptuous to me than fried chicken! May Your commands be sweeter to my taste than chocolate-chip cookies! May Your desires be more delicious to my soul than pizza!

Do this, Father, so You will be glorified in me!
