O Lord Jesus Christ:
O True Theologian:
Faith is the means by which I know You.
Belief is the way I relate to You.
So, faith is fundamental.
Therefore, belief is essential.
So many teachers.
So many theologians.
So many teachings about faith.
So many doctrines about belief.
And they are all finite men.
And they are all limited persons.
Also, they are sinful.
Moreover, their hearts are tained.
Even if they are Yours', o Lord.
Even if they are Christians, o Christ.
How will I ever know faith?
How will I ever understand belief?
I will believe Your Word, o God!
I will receive Your doctrine, o Prophet!
For You are God, and the Reconciliation between God and man.
For You are God the Son, and the Mediator between God and man.
You are a clean fountain, with no filth.
Your Word is pure water, unadulterated by any poison.
What You say faith is, I will do it!
What You say belief is, I will exercise it!
In You, and You alone!
In the Lord Jesus Christ, and Him only!
