Religion is a way of life as centered on a god, which is an object of ultimate trust and ultimate love.[1]

Social means "pertaining to relationships." On a related note, sociology is "a view of relationships."

So, how do religion and sociology relate? Well, one aspect of a religion is a sociology. A religion is a sociology. A religion is a view of relationships.

All unbiblical religions (i.e. false religions)  are false sociologies. They are false views of relationships, which lead their adherents to relate to others in sinful ways, which destroy themselves temporally and eternally.

Christianity is the one true religion. Therefore, the Biblical religion is the one true sociology. It is the one true view of relationships, which leads its adherents to relate to God and fellow image-bearers of God (especially fellow believers and followers of the Lord Jesus Christ) rightly.

What does God command, through His Written Word, concerning how His creatures (i.e. created things) are to relate to Him and each other? There, you have Christianity as a sociology, or Christian sociology.

[1] My definition of "god" here is inspired by Ronald Nash's definition of a "god" as one's "object of ultimate concern."
